ABSTRACT | ||
Haradhan Bairagi (11 October 1964) is a well-loved poet and lyricist in Tripura's literary world. Haradhan Bairagi is a teacher by profession but he is a literary scholar by passion. It is not very easy to talk about soil. But Haradhan Bairagi's poems have the scent of that soil. Although he is a teacher by profession, he has ploughed all the forests, hills and villages of Tripura. He brought up the words of the mountain tribal people. In the writer's writings, the picture of how deprived the hill tribe community is in terms of social, political and economic aspects in the society is revealed. He spent the night at the Jumias' house, eating food from their house. So, in his writings we got various information about the food and life of the tribal Haradhan Bairagi very consciously portrays the small issues of society in his poems on the basis of very large ideals. As we know Tripura is a state of mixed population. It is the traditional tradition of Tripura that one side is at the risk of the other. Haradhan Bairagi roamed all the jungle hills of Tripura. Sees up close the energetic and frenzied life of the people living in the mountains. So, there is no room for imagination in the places or people he talks about in the poems. What he has seen in real life, what has happened to him has been presented in the form of poetry. Haradhan Bairagi touched life in a completely new way. His poems 'Hasmati Tripura' (2017) and 'Khumpuiparay' (2018) have brought out the life portrait of the people thoroughly. The book also describes the forest beauty of Tripura's well-known hilly region Gandachhara and its surrounding areas. As a result, he developed each poem very fluently through language. The experience he got from traveling in real life has been reflected in his poems. | ||
