Modern Bengali Novel is now opened in many horizons. Especially the novelists of Seventieth Decade of Twentieth Century have tried to depict the oppressed people with their own reality. So, in many times, novelists have chosen the magic realistic genre to fulfil the purpose. Amar Mitra, as a writer, always tries to bring the soil-oriented people of West Bengal. He also tries to focus the Indian traditional culture. In his novel ‘Aswacharit’, there are many elements included which are technically the perspectives of Magic-realism. But, simultaneously, in the very ground, the ‘Mantra’ of ‘Charoibeti’ {Go ahead} is implied in this novel. I have tried to reveal this inner message, which is not of a certain time, but forever. | |
